I love watching people go about their daily business. I’m a people watcher – I’m fascinated by what they wear, what image they portray and what they do. I had always mistakenly characterized men who wore men’s short sleeved shirts as introverted, shy and a bit bland in personality. Then I met a new employee who introduced himself to me at a business meeting. To my astonishment he was wearing a short sleeved shirt, but he still looked crisp, neat, businesslike and confident. My wife joined us for lunch at the office, she too took notice of the young man in the short sleeved shirt… she even mentioned what good, defined arms he had! I’ve realized that clothing doesn’t make the man; quite the opposite in fact, the way a man carries himself makes the clothing look good. The combination of a well kept man and a well made shirt works!
